Both my wife and I pursued corporate careers leading into management
with major Fortune 500 companies. We were putting in 60-70 hours per
week, doing well financially, but frustrated with the lack of freedom,
time, and increased stress.
Seeking a better quality of life, we both started our own businesses
to build a transition plan and safety net as a replacement to our
corporate jobs. While Irene built a successful employment search and
placement company, I pursued a direct selling business in hopes of
creating a leveraged residual income. After the transition, we both
discovered that we had leaned our ladders against the wrong walls.

think we are like so many people in our country today. We owned

and my life is now free - free from receiving a social security check of $540 a
month, free from debt, and free to dream (I now have an Annual Passport to
Disneyland), am a Grandma of healthy triplets, and know that with my consistent

and I both have corporate backgrounds with the telephone

began my career in Corporate America in sales, marketing and
management in the computer industry for 18 years. And although I
found the work challenging, I was working long hours, traveling,
